The subject of this dissertation is the use of Artificial Intelligence techniques to assess the operational status of Electrical Power Systems equipment.

The contribution of this thesis will be the design, development, analysis, and implementation of innovative Artificial Intelligence models applied to Electric Power Systems. Especially in assessing this equipment's operational condition, with the primary goal of increasing the diagnostic rate of its faults.
