Electric Vehicles have met huge development over the past years due to zero emissions, the majority of. advantages that electric motors bring as well as the lower need for maintenance and cost of usage over internal combustion engines.
The purpose of this thesis is the optimization of EMS (Energy Management System) of electric vehicles using lithium Ion and ultracapacitors layout to cover various loads, controlled by computational intelligence tools for better data processing -analysis and complete supervision over the vehicle’s subsystems (Control Modules). Thus, the system’s efficiency increases with better range and more life cycles achieved.
