Abstract of doctoral thesis ZONTOU EVANGELIA

The technology used in everyday life is constantly evolving, allowing better access to information and knowledge. It has been shown that when technological means are used in the way of teaching, students' interest, concentration and understanding of the teaching subject is increased.

New technologies, including Virtual Reality (VR) and Augmented Reality (AR), have been shown to offer many advantages in teaching and student learning.

The purpose of this thesis will be to create a learning model / teaching model for Electrical and Electronics Engineers which will use innovative Virtual Reality and Augmented Reality technologies, with the aim of more efficient student learning. This model will also incorporate techniques to adapt the educational process to the learning specificities of each student.
